Raw castings are produced in accordance with the relevant metal/material specifications and are subject to initial visual inspections. Machining is only carried out in ISO9001:2015 accredited machine shops that are responsible for machining operations. Certificates of Conformance are available on request. NovaCast’s Quality Assurance Department is responsible for final checks and sign-off prior to dispatch according to our QA Processes.
NovaCast has many well-established, fully risk-managed relationships with foundries and machine shops in the Far East. Imported goods are checked according to BS6001 @ AQL 1%. Material analysis reports are issued by the supplier but additional independent checks are carried out by NovaCast to confirm material specification. Should additional inspection schedules be required by our customers these can be incorporated into the QA processes.
